How much does made-to-measure wallpaper cost?

“How much will my wall cost?” This is often the first question before choosing a wallpaper. With made-to-measure wallpaper, the answer is simpler than with standard rolls: you pay for the area of your wall, no more and no less. Here is how the price is calculated at Wallnia, with concrete examples.

The principle: a price per square metre

At Wallnia, our non-woven wallpaper costs €34 per m². Whatever the pattern or colour, the price is the same and the calculation stays simple:

width × height = area in m², then area × €34 = price.

The area is rounded up to the next tenth of a m². The minimum order is 1.5 m², or €51. And delivery is free, so there is nothing to add for shipping.

A worked example, step by step

Take a typical living room wall. You measure the width at three heights and the height in three places, and keep the largest values: 320 cm wide and 251 cm high. You then add 5 cm of margin in each direction, as we recommend in our guide how to measure your wall.

  • Dimensions to order: 3.25 m × 2.56 m
  • Area: 3.25 × 2.56 = 8.32 m², rounded up to 8.4 m²
  • Price: 8.4 × €34 = €285.60, free delivery

You receive 7 numbered strips, 50 cm wide, printed to the right height and ready to hang.

More examples to give you an idea

  • Small section of wall or alcove (1.20 × 1.25 m = 1.5 m²): €51
  • Wall behind a bed (2.85 × 2.55 m = 7.27 m², rounded up to 7.3 m²): €248.20
  • Large living room wall (4.55 × 2.65 m = 12.06 m², rounded up to 12.1 m²): €411.40

The easiest way is to enter your own dimensions on the page of the wallpaper you like: the calculator instantly shows the area, the number of strips and the price.

Made-to-measure or rolls: what is the price difference?

With standard rolls, you often buy more than you need. You have to round up to the next roll, allow for waste to match the pattern, and sometimes buy a spare roll. Part of the paper ends up in the bin.

With made-to-measure, you only pay for your wall, plus the small 5 cm margin. There is no pattern matching to worry about: the strips are numbered and the pattern flows naturally from one to the next. For a mural, it is even the only way to get an image that fits your wall exactly, with the framing you choose in the preview.

What is included in the price

  • An exclusive Wallnia design, printed to your dimensions
  • A premium PVC-free non-woven paper, breathable and washable
  • Numbered 50 cm strips, easy to hang
  • The framing you chose in the preview
  • Free delivery
  • A free reprint if you report a printing defect within 14 days

Other costs to plan for

To be complete, here is what to add to your budget if you hang it yourself:

  • Paste: allow 1 pot for about 10 m². An 8 m² wall therefore needs a single pot. You can add our non-woven wallpaper paste to your order.
  • Small tools: a roller, a smoothing spatula, a cutter and a spirit level. You may already have them.
  • Wall preparation: if your wall is damaged or very dark, plan for some filler or a primer.

Hanging non-woven wallpaper is within everyone's reach: you paste the wall, not the paper. Our hanging guide explains everything step by step.

Our tips for estimating your budget

  1. Measure before you choose. Knowing the exact area avoids unpleasant surprises.
  2. Do not subtract doors or windows. You order the whole wall and cut on site, so the pattern stays continuous.
  3. Start with a feature wall. One wall is often enough to transform a room, on a controlled budget.
  4. Check your measurements. Because each wallpaper is made for you, there is no right of withdrawal. If in doubt, send us a photo of your wall with your measurements: we check them for free before printing.

In short

Wallnia made-to-measure non-woven wallpaper costs €34/m², from 1.5 m², with free delivery. For an average living room wall of about 8 m², expect a little under €300, plus one pot of paste.
